Q. How long do the classes last?
A. Typically, the classes last an hour. If you are booking a series of classes, example 8, then it would be a total of 8, one hour classes. One class per week.

Q. How long do the “in studio” parties last?
A. Our in studio parties are 2 hours in length. The first hour consists of step-by-step instruction making the project of choice. During the second hour, you can serve your pizza, cake, munchies and we’ll turn on the party music.

Q. How long do the “out of studio” parties last?
A. Our parties in your venue consist of an hour of step-by-step instruction. We will supply you with cooking instructions so you can bake the creations in your home or venue, or will package unbaked creations and supply each individual parent with cooking instructions.

Q. What party times are available?
A. We have 3 time slots available – 10a.m.-12:00p.m., 1-3p.m. or 4-6p.m.

Q. How do I pick the project for the party?
A. Prior to the “big day” the birthday child chooses the special clay project to be done at their party. Our web site gallery has a one hour link that will give you plenty of choice, or why not make up something on your own? Everyone will do the same project, but you’ll be amazed at how unique they all are when we are finished.

Q. Do I need to bring packaging for the finished creations?
A. No, we will supply each child with a Masterpiece Box, individually stuffed and labeled to take home at the end of the party.

Q. Can I bring food to my child’s party?
A. Absolutely, the second hour is just for you! Why not bring pizza, cake and munchies for all your party-goers to enjoy after their project is completed!

Q. How many children can you accommodate in your studio?
A. 20-25 maximum, but if you have a larger party, we can travel to your venue.

Q. What type of clay do you use?
A. We use Sculpey III, which is a pre-coloured, pre-conditioned clay right out of the package.

Q. Do we need to paint the finished product?
A. No, the clay comes pre-coloured, so once the creations are baked they have a hard ceramic type finish.

Q. Is the clay non-toxic?
A. Yes.

Q. How are the creations finished?
A. Once the party or class is complete, the creations are placed on a baking sheet and baked right in a home oven. Because the clay is non-toxic, there is nothing to worry about.

Q. How old do the children have to be to do this craft?
A. We work with children as young as 3, but we believe that the craft can be enjoyed by kids if all ages.

Q. Do boys like this craft?
A. Yes, surprisingly, they love it and we always have a large boy enrollment.

Q. Is there a Wanda’s Creative Clay location?
A. Yes, we have a brightly accessorized studio conveniently located at 252 Soudan Avenue, which is the Mount Pleasant and Eglinton area of Toronto.

Q. Does my child need to be artistic?
A. Not at all, all they need is an idea of what they would like to make and we help them reach their goal.
